Discussing Advanced Healthcare Directives
Who This Event Is For: This event is exclusively for trans men (18+).
This event is free. [time listed is PST]
Did you know that without an Advanced Healthcare Directive, your legal next of kin might have the right to make medical decisions for you in the event of an emergency? This is an opportunity to talk with a chaplain and former attorney about Advanced Healthcare Directives: a document that allows trans men to express who would have the right to make decisions for us in an emergency and express our wishes.
Ben "Benny" Lunine (he/him) is a trans man, interfaith chaplain, and father in Portland, Oregon. Prior to becoming a chaplain, he practiced law, including at the Transgender Law Center. He has been passionate about assisting people with creating Advanced Healthcare Directives since he interned with the AIDS Legal Referral Panel in SF in 2006.
