On Purpose: 2026 Retreat
On Purpose: The 2026 Healthy Masculinity Retreat for Trans Men
Join 33 brothers in the mountains of Southern California Dec 10-14, 2026, for a 4 night/5 day retreat.
Deepen your relationship with masculinity, embodiment, and community.
On Purpose is an immersive, in-person retreat for trans men who are ready to explore how their lived experiences shape the way they lead, connect, and show up in the world. This retreat is about stepping into masculinity as a practice of care, accountability, and self-awareness—grounded in the body, rooted in reflection, and supported by community.
Unlike our long-running in-person event, Camp Lost Boys, this 2026 retreat is inward-focused, centered on self-growth and reflection. This is the first time we are offering a retreat in this capacity, and we ask that you apply only if you truly intend to attend. I will be carefully reviewing every application, and applying when you are not able to commit takes time and energy away from creating the best possible experience for those who are ready to committ.
On Purpose brings together trans men across backgrounds, generations, and life paths to explore healthy masculinity beyond dominance, isolation, or performance. Expect to open up, challenge old beliefs, and expand your understanding of what it truly means to be a man.
This retreat is intentionally small, limited to 33 participants, to ensure a safe, supportive, and deeply connected space.
*This retreat is offered independently by me and is not operated by, affiliated with, or sponsored by the former nonprofit organization.
What We’ll Explore
On Purpose is both inward-facing and relational. Through facilitated group work, embodiment practices, reflective dialogue, and shared community time.
Participants will explore:
❋ Personal relationships to masculinity, identity, and growth
Explore how your experiences and beliefs shape your understanding of masculinity and your own path of personal development.
❋ Emotional literacy, boundaries, and presence
Learn to recognize, express, and regulate your emotions while cultivating healthy boundaries and authentic connection with others.
❋ Leadership as responsibility rather than hierarchy
Explore how to lead with integrity and care, embracing accountability and service rather than relying on authority or status.
❋ Clarifying purpose and gifts
Reflect on your strengths, values, and unique contributions to identify the next steps in your personal and communal growth.
What to Expect
We will create a space for deep reflection, movement, and meaningful connection. You’ll engage in movement practices, relational and community work, journaling, ritual, and optional personal exploration, all within a supportive, consent-based environment.
Throughout the retreat, you’ll move through grounding, deconstructing old scripts, exploring power and connection, and integrating what feels meaningful into your life. The focus is on embodiment, presence, and practicing masculinity on your own terms.
Participants can expect:
❋ Movement & Embodiment
Guided movement and embodiment practices to reconnect with your body and presence.
❋ Reflection & Ritual
Reflection, journaling, and ritual to explore your inner world and experiences.
❋ Connection & Sharing
Optional small-group sharing and personal exploration to build community and deepen insight.

Why are we doing applications?
2
For this deep, intentional inner work, we use an application process to create a cohesive and supportive space. The goal is not to gatekeep, but to ensure that the retreat is the right fit for participants and that participants feel ready and aligned to engage fully.
Does applying guarantee registration?
3
Not necessarily. Applications help us ensure alignment with the retreat’s container. Final registration depends on space, availability, and fit.
What happens after I apply?
4
If space is available, and it seems like the right fit for you, we’ll schedule a brief 30-minute conversation to connect, answer questions, and confirm alignment. After the call, you’ll receive a private link to complete registration.
What does cost cover?
5
The cost of the retreat includes lodging, all your delicious and nutritious meals and snacks, facilitation and programming for the full duration of the retreat, group materials, and on-site support. It also covers access to all movement practices, group sessions, rituals, and integration tools offered throughout the retreat.
*Travel to and from the retreat location is not included, though we will provide a link to self-serve carpool.
How intense is the work we’re engaging in?
6
The retreat includes meaningful personal reflection, but it’s designed to be well-paced and supportive. Each day includes built-in downtime and integration, and participation is always optional. Trained peer counselors are available throughout the retreat if additional support is needed. Care, consent, and nervous system regulation are central to how this space is held.
Is this going to be like Camp Lost Boys?
7
Short answer: No.
This retreat is slower, more grounded, and internally focused. While camp is about recapturing a boyhood, this retreat is focused on intentional manhood.
